SUNG KYUNG developed a floating material having a level control function by buoyancy and specific gravity. It also developed an oil/water separator to separate pure oil in a 0.5 mm thickness. Oil/water separators, generally called oil skimmers, are to separate water and oil mixed together. being used at processing factories, where cutting oil, friction oil, or other oils are mixed and discharged, industrial sites, where water in the oil is to be removed, gas stations, car washes, oil tanks, and other many areas. The oil/water separator absorbs viscous oil with a belt, disk, or filter, having low efficiency in separating the oil floating on the water by using the difference of specific gravity between water and oil. Thus, a lot of water is mixed in the separately discharged oil, and it takes a considerable time to separate oil. Accordingly oil recycling is difficult, and oil disposal or treatment cost increases as much as the amount of water mixed. In this connection, a new strong structure oil/water separator, which enhances efficiency of oil separation is required.
